Immutable Weekly 'Rollup' - March 13

Hi Everyone -

Welcome to my brief on all things Immutable, NFTs, Ethereum and L2s. Below are a few noteworthy announcements, updates and thought leadership that caught our team's attention this week.

As we consult our partners through building their own NFT marketplace and/or "direct-to-consumer" NFT experience, two themes that come up are 1) a need for web3 developers and 2) visual examples of marketplaces building on top of Immutable. Calling these out as Immutable is establishing a robust partner network of white-labeled marketplaces, wallet providers, fiat on-ramp solutions (just a few examples) that we can lean on based on each team's requirements..

One the visual example side, we released an initial preview of the GME marketplace being built on Immutable. I included the post below, and more updates will follow as development matures. 

Immutable Updates, Shoutouts & Thought Leadership

• On Monday, Immutable announced our $200M Series C -- led by Temasek, along with Animoca Brands and Tencent. We're hiring across all departments, so if you know anyone with a passion for web3 & NFTs, please send them my way :)

• Warner Bros revealed plans to release millions of DC Comics-themed physical & digital collectibles, which will be issued via Immutable X. Many of these will feature "The Batman," which I finally saw yesterday and dare I say it rivals the Dark Knight and Dark Knight Rises...

• Immutable X announced its' backing of Metalcore in their recent funding round, who finished the completion of a $15 million private token and NFT sale.

• How Immutable's Shared Orderbook is solving for NFT fragmentation..
